Kelly is 1/2 of a mother/daughter writing duo, with Megan Anelons. Together, they write heartfelt, laugh-out-loud comedies about underdogs, love, sex, found families, and fabulously imperfect humans finding self-acceptance.
Kelly’s solo projects won Nashville Film Festival and have placed in Nicholl Fellowship, Impact x Netflix, PAGE Awards, Stage 32 Grown Up Movies Contest, and more. In her free time, she fixates on 1970's comedy flicks, vegan cookies, and her schnoodle, Albus.
Her daughter/writing partner Megan graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in Visual Media Arts and a Minor in Fiction. She has worked at companies like Atlas Entertainment (OPPENHEIMER, WONDER WOMAN, AMERICAN HUSTLE) and was most recently a creative executive with Lynda Obst (INTERSTELLAR, HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DAYS).
Together, they find ways to laugh in the hard moments, and hope their content does the same for others. Outside of writing, they run their popular TikTok account (@camphalfbitchbooks), arguing over the best romance books and swoony heroes. Most recently, they completed 3 projects for Bound Entertainment (SNOWPIERCER, DR. BRAIN), and are now working on a third.
They write multi-generational, feminist, female-driven scripts for film and TV, which always include major roles for actresses over 50 years old.
