About Desiree

Desiree Middleton is a speculative fiction screenwriter and author who just completed a year long mentorship with the Writer’s Guild Foundation, Veteran Writers Program, where she recently pitched her scifi/horror culmination project. She is a former mentee of the Netflix Animation Program. Her sci fi horror script Facsimile was shot on location at Warner Brothers during the AT&T Shape-a-thon and the screenplay was an official selection of the Miami SciFi Film Festival. Desiree holds an MFA in writing for children and young adults, from Hamline University. She resides in Los Angeles where she can be found hiking, stargazing, rock collecting, and searching for portals to another galaxy.
