About Rebecca

Rebecca James, a screenwriter and musical theatre book and lyrics writer from Queensland, Australia.

Rebecca has a rich background, having studied writing at QPIX and directing at NIDA, earning recognition with the Kodak TVS Award for Best Script. Before her writing career, she travelled the world solo, worked internationally in marketing for hospitals and power tools, became a successful real estate entrepreneur, qualified as a graphic designer, taught mindfulness meditation and horse riding, and honed her skills as a psychic/medium, visionary and more.

Now, she focuses on creating cutting-edge tent pole features for global audiences, biopics about inspiring artists and geniuses for film and musical theatre, and high-concept quality indie scripts. All works are structurally sound, contain at least five never before seen elements, humor and emotional depth.

Rebecca lives a Zen Lux life: writing, walking in nature, enjoying meaningful relationships, travelling the world to immerse herself in culture, attend unique events and delight in people. She contributes to humanity by 'being the change she wishes to see in the world.' (Ghandi)
