Over the course of one long night, a friendship develops between a nonbinary teen and the brother of a local sports hero at a safe space for a small, conservative town’s rebellious youth while, just outside, their cultures clash violently. 

SYNOPSIS:

Set in 1987 and, with a background of that era's music scene, the orbits of two diametrically opposed teens merge at an open-mic performance venue for “Wonderfully Weird” youth. As they lose themselves in a microcosm of tolerance and self-expression, the real world comes crashing in, forcing the teens to make tough decisions that will affect everyone involved.
