Is It a Dream or Reality?

Hi producers,

I have a question for you.

Right now, I’m working on my project “God’s Secretary.” It’s a comedy about an immature secretary who doesn’t believe in God. Of course, her life takes an unexpected turn when she comes face to face with Him — and not only that, she ends up taking His place for a certain period of time. Now she is forced to grow up and learn responsibility in a situation that is both impossible and incredibly challenging.

For the role of God, I see Dwayne Johnson. First, no one has ever seen God, and I want to move away from the usual stereotype where He is portrayed by Morgan Freeman. Second, I think it would be a surprising and fresh choice for the audience to see Dwayne Johnson in such an unexpected role.

The main character is female, and the second key role is the Archangel Michael, who helps her throughout the story. At the same time, the role of God would still have significant screen time. There will also be the Devil, whom I imagine as Eddie Murphy.

So here’s my question, friends:

Is it actually realistic to reach actors like this with a project? Or is it just something in my head, and I may never be able to show it to them?

I’d really appreciate your thoughts

The part that never gets talked about is that most evaluation systems are designed to reduce risk for the person making the decision not to find the best material. Coverage exists so someone can point to a document when a project fails. Comps exist so someone can explain their bet in language a room full of executives already understands. The actual quality of the writing becomes almost secondary at that point. The scripts that break through usually do it because someone with enough authority decided to trust their own read over the process. That is the gap no evaluation system has figured out how to close.
