We teach languages through fun, fast-paced short stories set in a fictional sitcom-style universe. Each story is around 200 words, and we’re building a large library of hundreds of stories, later expanding into longer arcs. The tone is punchy, modern, and designed for Gen-Z readers.
Our world includes characters like Ana, who dreams of fame; Diego, who’s always chasing money; Grandma Lupita, a tech-savvy abuela; and Señor Torres, secretly in love with Tía Carmen. Every story highlights a simple, everyday situation told through universal humor. Occasionally, we release multi-part story arcs (2–6 chapters).
We’re looking for a long-term writer who can elevate our storytelling (we already have 50 short stories) with sharp dialogue, strong pacing, and fresh, memorable story ideas.
We pay $0.20 per word.
Our app is free for everyone, with monetization through ads and a subscription that unlocks premium features, similar to other leading language-learning apps.
Our mission is simple but ambitious: to promote reading and education for Gen Z through fun, modern, story-driven learning.
This is a fully remote position, and we welcome applicants from anywhere in the world. If you happen to be in or near New York City, you’re welcome to meet the team in person. Payments are issued via PayPal or Wise in USD. The app is scheduled for a soft launch in February and is not yet publicly available.
