Summary

Your animated feature or series is fully formed — in your head, on paper, or somewhere in between. Now it's time to turn that vision into something that makes an executive say yes.

You know your characters. You know your story. This lab gives you the tools to package that vision into a professional pitch that gets you in the room.

This private, interactive Zoom lab pairs you with Evan Anglin, Co-Head of Animation and Literary Manager at Zero Gravity Management, for six weeks of hands-on guidance building a fully polished pitch deck or series bible — your professional calling card for pitching animated features and series to executives, producers, and collaborators.

Only 5 spots remain. Payment plans available at checkout, or email edu@stage32.com for more info.

Animation is having its biggest year yet. A Chinese animated feature just became the highest-grossing animated film of all time, and Crunchyroll's paying subscriber base has more than tripled since 2021. Buyers want bold, original ideas — and the writers who can present them with clarity are the ones getting the meetings.

That's the real opportunity here: distilling everything you're overflowing with — plot, visuals, character, world — into a deck or bible that energizes artists, informs directors, and instantly shows executives exactly why your project fits their slate. Whether you're building a feature deck, a series bible, or weaving in educational or STEM elements for kids' animation, this lab gives you the frameworks to present your vision with real clarity and confidence.

Your instructor, Evan Anglin, is the Co-Head of the Animation Department and a Literary Manager at Zero Gravity Management, where he represents award-winning showrunners, feature writers, directors, production companies, designers, and animation/live-action hybrid talent. He's held leadership roles at Bold Management & Production, Partos Company, and Innovative Artists, and continues to produce projects including STEM NIGHT and THE PANIC. With a focus on character-driven storytelling, YA, dark comedies, animation, and hybrid work, Evan knows exactly what makes a pitch deck or series bible stand out — because he's the one deciding whether to say yes.

Over six weeks, you'll build every piece of a professional deck or bible with Evan's hands-on guidance: loglines, synopses, character sections, world overviews, episode or act breakdowns, visual tone pages, comps, season arcs, and franchise potential. By the end, you'll walk away with a polished, industry-ready deck or bible that reflects your creative voice and gets you into real conversations with executives, producers, and collaborators.

This interactive lab runs on Zoom and goes substantially deeper than a Stage 32 webinar. As soon as you sign up, you'll be connected by email with your Stage 32 Educator and sent a questionnaire to shape your sessions. You'll have access to Evan by email for the full six weeks — it's like having a mentor on demand. Can't make a live session? All recordings are available in your Library within 48 hours. Plus, you'll have a dedicated lounge to connect with fellow classmates for support and feedback throughout the lab.

Testimonial from previous students:

"I thoroughly enjoyed the class. He is an excellent teacher/facilitator. Even's feedback was clear and very helpful. He was supportive and honest. I liked that the class was interactive and participatory." -Sandra

"I cannot say enough good about Evan.  Being a retired teacher, I see his good teaching techniques. He was able to pace his lessons well, despite student technical issues and different student personalities. He was patient as a saint. I learned more than I can express on the spot.  Evan was great at presenting just the right samples to illustrate his point.  One great discovery that is fresh on my mind is that Evan taught me that I can do what I think I can’t if I just give myself the time. This class was definitely worth the money and then some." -Kelly

Testimonial from Evan Anglin:

“Animation is one of the most exciting and opportunity-filled corners of the entertainment industry right now. I’m excited to teach this lab with Stage 32 because it’s a chance to help you turn your wildest ideas into professional, pitch-ready projects. If you’ve ever dreamed of creating an animated show or film, this is the moment to take that next step.”
